Reviewing the Clean 9 diet. Well I did manage the 9 days- sorry for the lateness in getting back- 7 mths Opps. I am actually in the middle of the plan again! At the end first of the first attempt, I could not wait to bin it and never ever wanted to hear or see aloe vera again- the whole thing was evil and it tasted disgusting. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar. I was traumatized. So, why am I doing it again I hear you ask? I do not promote it or endorse it but if you do want to lose 6- 7 lbs in 9 days- well, it works for me anyway. I have lapsed back into bad eating habits over the past few weeks and need to lose weight to feel and look better for Christmas. I needed to take drastic steps. So Clean 9 (1. 0): 1. The most dramatic weight loss is in the first 1- 3 days- I lost 3. I was in total shock and I really struggled. I stuck to it religiously but I could not squeeze in the 3. I found myself for the first time buying a cooking sweet potato, almond milk, quinoa, and making salad as opposed to chucking a few greens on the side. Took up a gym programme and joined a running club. Yes, you are spending . Taste- although the 2nd time has been far more bearable. Cost- well TBH . It is a crash diet- . If you do not change your eating habits and lifestyle you will pile the weight back on. So all in all- I would actually recommend it but purely as a kick start to a better food and exercise regime. Whether aloe vera is actually any good for weight lose- I sincerely doubt it. Remember you do not eat for 2 days, cut out carbs completely and restrict your diet to 6. Filling up on aloe vera and protein shakes is just to get you through the day. A few tips: a. Start it at the weekend- I made the mistake in hindsight of starting on a Monday. As day 1 & 2 are the hardest getting through work was horrendous and I cluttered up my office trying to figure out the potions and mixtures. Far easier to get into the regime while in the comfort of your home. Plan your meals and buy all the ingredients in advance- I was almost delirious roaming the supermarkets while on the diet. Eat apples, pears and tomatoes to ease the hunger pangsd. The shakes leaves a not so nice fishy aftertaste the chocolate is nicer than the vanilla- I mixed it with almond milk.
